Best Subscription Boxes of 2017

Subscription boxes have been all the rage for the past couple of years and 2017 is no exception. Who doesn’t love getting mail that doesn’t involve a bill?! I, for one, look forward to getting the best subscription boxes in the mail each month or quarter. Not only are the products typically practical for my lifestyle, but they introduce me to brands I have never heard of, which is an added bonus. With more and more subscription box options popping up each month it can be hard to decide which box(es) to subscribe to. To help, I put together a list of my faves for 2017. Take a look and let us know if you have a favorite we didn’t include in the comments below!

FitFabFun

FitFabFun is a quarterly (4 boxes a year) subscription box that typically offers $200+ worth of beauty, fitness, and fashion products for a price tag of $49.99/each. Each box features a different design from a new designer and has a mini magazine included with tips for how to incorporate the items into your lifestyle and an inside look at the makers and designers. They also partner with a different charity for each box, which is a fun addition! One thing I especially enjoy about FitFabFun is that they allow you to customize one (or more) item(s) in your box from quarter to quarter.

Box of Thirds

Box of Thirds was just launched this summer (get 10% off your first box by signing up for their email list) and features goods created by independent artists/makers from around the world. Each box has a specific theme, with August being “Out Of This World.” This subscription box is monthly ($38.95) and features 5 items in each box, with an approximate value of $60. I love that each box is specially curated to include well-made and well–designed items that support and enhance the creative community.

Past boxes have included:

Candy Club

Okay, admittedly I included this one because I have a M.A.J.O.R. sweet tooth. But then again, who doesn’t love candy?! This box is a monthly subscription that delivers candy to your door, at about 50% of the price of premium candy shops. You can create a box from their recommendations (after taking the candy quiz), or build your own monthly box! Each box will have three candies for you to try for a price tag of $29.99. They even have a selection of gluten–free, naturally–flavored and organic candies. Through this exclusive offer, shop now and get $15 off your order!

Candies include:

  • Chocolate
  • Gummy
  • Sour
  • Nostalgic

Sparkle Hustle Grow

This is a fun monthly box for female entrepreneurs! For $39.95 a month you will receive 4–6 items that will help you and your business grow and learn. Just like Box of Thirds, Sparkle Hustle Grow features a monthly theme such as Productivity or Content Is King. My favorite thing about this subscription is that with each box you also get access to an online course or tutorial, plus the private Facebook group.

Past boxes have included:

Hello Book Lover

I love reading (my Mom is a librarian!) so this monthly subscription box is right up my alley. Each month you receive a new book plus a few little surprises such as a garden in a bag or flamingo drink cooler. One of the fun things about this box is you can choose your book each month or choose to be surprised! It is only $28 a month and helps you stay on track with your yearly reading goal!

I was looking for the list of coffee boxes. There are so many and they support local American business too! Some that come to mind are Cool Beans Box and Coffeism. You should check them out. 🙂

I can see that having a month subscription to a surprise box may seem like a bit of a financial commitment. But as you put it, the boxes are worth much mor in items delivered than if the items were purchased individually, no matter which whether you go for candies or for make up.
What I never thought of is to use the boxes as a start up business opportunity; you could order boxes to get potential clients to try out the different products before securing a purchase.
    Excellent ideas all around!

Oh wow, I can’t believe how many subscription boxes there are out there! These sound great. I really like the idea of the Sparkle Hustle Grow one. Thanks for bringing it to my attention. I’m going to check it out. I also love the Candy Club one (sweet tooth!) but my dentist will have something to say if I tell him I subscribed to it 🙂

I love subscription boxes but there are times that you don’t like what you get in them.
