The Edit

Currently Crushing: The Edit by Kayla

One of my absolute favorite things is getting an inside look at the products, books, podcasts, charities, etc. that bloggers use and love. I have a running list on my phone of blogger–recommended items to try throughout the year. This week, Kayla Dene is sharing her five favorite things she has been loving this month.

June. A time for swimsuits, refreshing treats, and lots of travel. I love the start of summertime. What I’ve been crushin’ on this month:

Yes, any and everything boho is right up my alley. I’ve started incorporating more bohemian pieces into my clothing and apartment decor. I just love the patterns, bright colors, and overall free-spirited vibes. Anthropologie has been my favorite this month. I actually started working here this month as well and have just been falling even more in love with the brand and everything offered.

Reusable Bags

Bags that I can take anywhere for anything are just what I need because I’m all about being spontaneous and adventurous. It’s also a plus to recycle! Below you can see the bag I got from Apolis. I custom designed it with my favorite quote “Love Yourself” so everywhere I go, the people around me are being reminded to love themselves. The bag is great for travel, farmers market, as a just in case kit in your car, everything!

Fresh Face

Between getting some sun and finding the right skin care products, I’ve been crushing on a clean no make up face. Don’t get me wrong I will still wear make up for work or special occasions, but for the most part, you can catch me with a bare face. I just love the freckled, sun-kissed no make up look. It’s a plus when eyelash extensions and eyebrow thread and tint are included. I think having those two things can really boost confidence and help with going bare-faced.

Smoothie Bowls

I recently found out about these at a restaurant called The Juicery. I used to always see people eating these, but thought it was yogurt which I dislike so I never tried it… until recently that is. I must say it is pure deliciousness. The Juicery does amazing, but I have started making my own at home to have whenever I want. Below is one I’ve made and I must say I am pretty proud of myself for it! So so good. If you’re looking for a recipe to make one, Pinterest is your best friend! I got mine here.

Following Hashtags

If you’re on Instagram, which I’m sure you are, then you’ve heard of hashtags. Well, Instagram has made viewing posts in certain hashtags a whole lot easier. You can now follow them! Yep, just like you would follow your friend you can follow hashtags and they’ll show up in your feed. I find this great because I can easily keep up with things going on specific hashtags. My favorites are #imsobloggingthis and #tezzapresets.
