One of my absolute favorite things is getting an inside look at the products, books, podcasts, charities, etc. that bloggers use and love. I have a running list on my phone of blogger–recommended items to try throughout the year. This week, Kay Winters is sharing her five favorite things she has been loving this month.
Quote I’m Pondering
A rose today. But you will ask in vain
Tomorrow what it is; and yesterday
It was the dust, the sunshine, and the rains.
— Christina Rosetti
Greystone Tieks | These vegan flats are made from a wool-alternative and I’m crushing hard on these. They are on the pricier side, but I’m here to vouch for the quality of Tieks. I’m very selective about my purchases, but my first pair (Romantic Blush) have lasted 4 years now so, in my mind, they are definitely worth the cost. I’m excited they offer vegan options because I’m also trying to transform my wardrobe to be more eco-friendly and cruelty-free.
I don’t even understand Spanish anymore, but the vocals on Siempre Estaré Ahí sound so beautiful that I listen to this Rachel Platten song constantly. I also love Alessia Cara’s version of How Far I’ll Go, a song from the Disney film Moana.
Must-Have Office Tool
This is my absolute favorite office tool that I tell everyone to get. It’s a staple-less stapler that works by punching a small hole in your stack of papers and looping that punch-out back thru itself to keep your papers together. I’m pretty conscious about my waste so even though staples are made of steel (recyclable), it’s even better to use no staples at all to accomplish the same thing (keep papers together). Plus, it’s fun to use!
Go-to Drink Order
I’m going thru a phase right now where I’m obsessed with ginger beer. I’ve tried so many different brands, but my absolute favorite at the moment is made by Australian-based Bundaberg. When I lived in Los Angeles, I used to buy this from World Market, but it’s also on Amazon if you can’t find it locally. Be carefully though – you might get hooked and one bottle has 40 grams of sugar!
Kay Winters is a blogger at Paws and Pines where she writes about an eco-friendly, chic, minimalist lifestyle. Originally from the U.S., she is currently living a low-waste lifestyle out of Amsterdam. When she’s not cuddling with her dog and 2 cats, you’ll probably find her wandering thru the beautiful canals of the city. That concludes Vol. 4 of Currently Crushing.
