Five Favorite Follows: My Instagram Obsessions

If you are anything like me, Instagram can quickly suck you in (where did that last hour go, right?!) with all of the beautiful graphics, motivational quotes, and inspiring captions. For me, my day job is as a graphic designer, so I am constantly looking through Instagram to keep me inspired and also to keep up on trends within the different industries my clients work in – and my own!

There are many ways to inspire creativity, but one of my ways is checking out what my favorite brands and businesses are up to and I find that the quickest way to do this is through their Instagram feeds. This is often where you get to see behind the scenes content that you might not get on their website or other social media profiles.

Below are my current favorite Instagram accounts to follow:

Whitespace Magazine is a printed magazine, launched in 2017, featuring artists and designer interviews, must–visit spaces and a curated printed art shows. Each week they feature designers, photographers, and artists who use their hashtags (currently #WhitespaceFall) in their Instagram exhibits, giving you a beautifully curated feed, full of inspiration. If you are looking for a creative spark, want some new designers to follow or just love seeing beautiful work celebrated, this is a must–follow account. Issue One is now available!

Sarah is the owner and creator of True North Paper Co., a calligraphy and hand-lettering business, that does wedding calligraphy and even logo design. Her Instagram feed is something to be admired, for its perfectly cohesive theme and darling imagery. She features her client work, just–for–fun lettering projects and items from her online shop. It’s all just so pretty, it’s hard to look away. You’ve been warned!

Jenny is a travel blogger and photographer, and her Instagram account surely echoes both of those passions! The tone is moody and is really inspire wanderlust. From the mountains to the beach, her feed has a little bit of everything, including the occasional appearance of the cutest pup. My faves are the–shoes–on–tiles–shots, the flowers–in–the–bags–shots and, of course, all the gorgeous painted doors.

Her Insta feed shows a good variety of client work, passion projects and an inside look into your life and home. If you are looking for a little inspiration for your work, this feed will not disappoint. There is always something intriguing to see!

If you are an avid reader or a one book a year type, this is a perfect Insta feed to follow. With thoughtful, mini-reviews, you get honest thoughts about some of the most hyped books of the season. If you are just looking for new books to add to your reading list, this will get you plenty of options to choose from.
