Major Fall Trends That You Should Know

Guest Post: Brigitte Evans  /  Twitter  /  High Style Life

The summer season is almost over, which reasonably explains the saying that all the good things eventually come to an end. A total bummer, isn’t it? However, we shall not cry, ’cause the upcoming season is bringing some hot, new pieces you will immediately fall in love with. We’ve rounded up some must-have items for the fall, and you’d better make room for some wild designs and fabrics.

Pampering softness

For the ladies who like to keep it soft and cozy, a turtleneck sweater dress is a great choice for starting your day with a hot cup of coffee or tea. Whether you opt for over the knee boots or lace-up booties, either way, you’ll look feminine and chic. To make it even extra, put on a vintage fedora hat and some round glasses, and you will be ready to slay those streets in style!

Double the fun

Over-sized street style trend has been present for years, and the obsession continues. Fashion bloggers seem to enjoy the trend big time since we all get to see over-sized denim jackets and puffers all over their Instagram. Also, oversized trench coats are here to remind us that the colder days doesn’t suck that much, after all.

You can be a mermaid on a dry land, too!

Saying goodbye to your summer clothes can be depressing, but there are a couple of tricks you might want to consider before introducing the warmer pieces into your wardrobe. If you’re still bummed over the fact that your beach days are over, and you’re still not ready to retire your trendy swimwear, then you deserve to know one thing. You can wear your one-piece swimsuits as a substitute for a bodycon tank top tucked in a pair of high-waisted shorts, or even a denim skirt. Style the outfit with a cover-up kimono or a cardigan, and a pair of ankle boots. Accessorize it with a crossbody bag, and you’re free to run errands. Also, it’s the perfect combo for the chilly, fall nights and an evening stroll through the city. What’s more, a ruffled bikini top can be matched with wide, high-waisted pants and some cool sneakers. You see? A little bit of imagination does wonders.

White boots

Invest in a pair of ankle heel sock boots, and wear them with boho, maxi dresses or mom jeans for the ultimate laid-back look. Put on a wool coat and a pair of skinny shades to make a fierce statement.

Checked blazers or just blazers are timeless, and any fashion-savvy girl can confirm that. They are perfect for the working girls and for those who like to mix and match casual and formal attire. For the ultimate sexy look, treat yourself with a belted mini blazer dress and some killer heels. Recently, Kylie Jenner wore her white, Tom Ford mini blazer dress, and she looked flawless. She complemented her outfit with the satin stilettos and a matching white mani and pedi. This girl might be a billionaire, but you don’t need to be one in order to recreate her look. There are some fine copies you can find in a local store, and they are worth every single penny!

The leather weather

A leather jacket is the most classic item you can get, and it’s perfectly convenient for the changing seasons. Black, white, yellow, metallic or even pale pink, the choice is endless and it depends on your current mood whether you want to show off your biker chick side or to prove you’re a feminine rocker with floral embroidery on shoulders. Also, a leather skirt or pants are amazing for any occasion, and you can wear them over the day, and then later that evening make a fire combination for a night out. These pieces mix and match easily with almost every clothing item, and what’s not to love about the good ol’ classics!

Animal print alert

From coats to dresses, shirts to boots, fall is the perfect season to indulge your wild cat spirit! It doesn’t necessarily have to be a common brownish print, ‘cause you can also experiment with red, neon or blue leopard patterns. Embrace this trend for the season, and let the world roar over your great taste. Oh, and Nanny Fine, wherever you are, I hope you’re feeling proud.

So, you think you’re ready for the fall? If so, don’t hesitate to purchase one of these versatile items, and warm-up for the next season, literally!

Animal print was all over New York Fashion Week. I also saw a girl wearing a swimsuit top with an outfit and I loved it. These are all on point.
