Achieve The Natural Look, The Natural Way

Studies have shown that wearing makeup is not what really makes a woman feel beautiful. Most women would rather not wear makeup if they don’t have to. In fact, in one CoverGirl study, 59 percent of women said that they felt most beautiful without any makeup on, and only 22 percent said they felt most beautiful when ready for a glamorous night out. They also argue that aging is a problem since women tend to wear more makeup in order to hide their wrinkles. Even so, there are ways to achieve a natural look without wearing any makeup. 

Sleep

Sleep is not only essential for your health, but for your look as well. There’s a reason why it is called “beauty sleep”. During sleep, your body recovers from everyday activities, stress, and toxins, while your metabolism works best during the night. If you want to make the best of it, keep yourself on a strict sleeping schedule. For best results, go to sleep before midnight, sleep for at least seven hours and do a bit of exercise in the morning. Keep up with the schedule and you will see positive changes already within a week.

Smile

Smiling is the most beautiful facial expression to have, but it’s not always easy to smile. In some cases, people tend to hide their smile because they think it is not beautiful enough to be shown. Luckily, there are ways today to fix that as well. If you think your smile is not shiny enough, you can turn to teeth whitening. Lip Balm

Heavy, colored lipstick and lip gloss can leave your lips dry and prone to cracking. Dried out lips can give you a malnourished look which requires even more makeup to hide. In order to prevent this, turn to lip balm. There is a variety of tastes and colors to choose from, they go with any style and moisturize your lips to prevent them from cracking. Be careful though, because too much of a good thing can be bad as well. If you put too much on for a longer period, your lips can get used to this level of moisturizing, leaving you with cracked lips each time you go outside without lip balm on.

Nurtured Hair

Hair is the essential part of any look, especially a natural one. For your hair to look natural, you will need more care than you might think, because a natural look does not mean leaving your hair dry and gray. You should avoid hair dryers because they tend to dry your hair out from its natural moisture and leave you with dandruff. Anti-dandruff shampoos can be fairly aggressive for your scalp as well, so choose the ones that are based on organic ingredients. When choosing hair color, you should also consider organic dye. Coconut and avocado oil are good moisturizes, as well as honey-based creams. 

Skin Care

If you are pale and prone to pimples, there is a chance your skin can prevent you from starting a day without makeup. For a healthy, plump and soft skin with a natural look, you need patience and a lot of care. Good sleep is also linked to healthy-looking skin. Your skin also needs to be hydrated in order to show its natural plump, so make sure to drink at least a liter of water daily. Exercise can help your skin release harmful toxins. When searching for moisturizes, try avoiding untested creams and oils which are rich in chemicals. Be careful if you are allergic to some ingredients because you can easily get a rash or some other skin reaction. 

Remember that looking natural does not mean neglecting your looks, but requires even more care than your regular makeup routine. Even so, taking care of your skin, hair and overall looks in a more natural way can only benefit both your health and self-esteem. A little more effort goes a long way.
