New (to me!) Beauty Products I’m Loving

Over the past couple of years, I have become more and more interested in beauty and skincare products, especially ones that are clean and natural. I love the Target Beauty Box and Birchbox for discovering new brands and products, and am always picking up new samples when and where I can! This month, I’ve tried quite a few new products, including: amika Perk Up Dry Shampoo (5/5), Natura Castanha Hand Cream (5/5), Clarins Multi-Active Night Cream (4/5), and Air Repair Complexion-Boosting Moisturizer (3/5). Today, I wanted to share 4 of my current, new-to-me, beauty and skincare obsessions.

Maple Holisitics Argan Oil Shampoo (4/5)

With hair that has a tendency to be dry and dull, I am always looking for new shampoo and conditioner products that work well for me. After having success with Maple Holisitics Tea Tree Oil Shampoo previously, I wanted to try another of their products and choose the Argan Oil Shampoo. Some of the benefits it promises include:

  • Cleans without stripping hair of its natural oils
  • Leaves hair silky and smooth
  • Strengthens and protects hair follicles against breakage and split ends
  • Volume and shine

What I love about this shampoo:

  • The consistency is thick and a little bit goes a long way, which is great given the price point.
  • The smell of the Argan Oil Shampoo is not overpowering.
  • The shampoo was moisturizing and helped with my dry hair.
  • My hair was noticeably softer the day after shampooing.

Overall, this shampoo really delivered. Just like the Tea Tree Oil Shampoo, I love that this product has recycled packaging, is cruelty-free and naturally formulated. Another great incentive to use this brand is their recycling initiative, which you can read more about here.

*Thank you to Hayley of Maple Holistics for sending me a free sample of the Argan Oil Shampoo. All opinions are my own.*

Honest Beauty Gentle Gel Cleanser (4/5)

Like everyone, I have been looking for cleaner beauty products to introduce into my skincare routine lately, and of course, at the top of my list to try was Honest Beauty. One product I’ve been using and loving is the Gentle Gel Cleanser. And, when they say gentle, they mean gentle. I use this daily, and it removes my makeup easily without drying out my skin.

What I love about this gel cleanser:

  • This cleanser foams really well, with a small amount of product.
  • My skin is never oily after using it and feels clean and soft.
  • It uses only natural products, so you know it is safe.
  • I love the clean and simple packaging.

AG Hair Care Fast Food (5/5)

This leave-in conditioner has been a life-saver for me on days when my hair is feeling dry and frizzy. I use this about twice a week, on damp hair and it keeps my hair feeling soft between uses. This product uses no salt, no parabens, and no gluten and is also cruelty-free. It promises to smooth and calm frizzy, thick or coarse hair, and my experience with it has been positive.

What I love about this leave-in conditioner:

  • My hair feels soft and light after using this conditioner.
  • I love the smell of this product.
  • It reduces the amount of frizziness and static my hair has that day and the following day.

Bath and Body Works Eucalyptus 3-In-1 Aromatherapy Oil (4/5)

I have really been into my essential oil diffuser lately and also have been adding a few drops to my shower and baths. Eucalyptus is known to clear the mind and promote feelings of relaxation, while also being invigorating. You can apply this oil directly to your skin, add to bath water, or even add a few drops to your lotion as well.

What I love about this leave-in conditioner:

  • The smell is faint, which I personally love, as I am prone to getting headaches from strong smells.
  • It helps keep my skin moisturized when I add it to my bath.
  • Adding a few drops to my shower creates a spa-like experience.
